Our fall leagues will run in Becker and Bloomington Kennedy, with boys scheduled for Oct. 17 and 24 and Nov. 7, 14 and 21 and girls scheduled for Oct. 18 and 25 and Nov. 1, 8 and 15.

Top 10 reasons to enter your team in our terrific Fall Leagues!

  1. Breakdown Fall Leagues are run by basketball people. Former and current coaches are there to make sure the league is run efficiently.
  2. The Breakdown Fall League schedule is easy to follow and well communicated. Teams are placed in the appropriate divisions.
  3. The Breakdown Fall League has the state’s largest group of teams and this year, many teams from outstate Minnesota will be attending at Kennedy and Becker.
  4. Breakdown Fall Leagues are at JUST ONE SITE!
  5. Breakdown Fall Leagues start later in the fall. This allows coaches and players to get acclimated to the start of school.
  6. We avoid the majority of the fall sports season, and this year, we are not conducting the league on playoff football Saturday.
  7. Team rates for all teams. Different players can attend on different weekends.
  8. Breakdown supports all individual high school program philosophies. We feel the Fall League gives your players an opportunity to play together, learn together, and build quality chemistry together in a competitive situation. If these leagues are not a good fit, we fully support any pre-season program you participate in.
  9. We do NOT keep standings nor crown champions. These leagues are designed to get each team ready for the season and be optimistic for the season.
  10. The Breakdown basketball preview books are available midway through the league for all players, coaches, and players to view and read.

dTip Off Classic
The Tip Off Classic history began back in January of 2004. The BREAKDOWN staff wanted to showcase teams from across the state and provide unique, competitive matchups. We also wanted to have top-rated teams with state tournament aspirations. The experiment worked out so well that now we host the No. 1 single-day classic in Minnesota.

The 2009 Tip Off Classics will be held Dec. 12, 2009 (boys) at Minnetonka and Dec. 5, 2009 (girls) at Hopkins Lindbergh Center. For more information on the girls tournament, please click here. For more information on the boys tournament, please click here. NOTE: Caledonia will replace the Milwaukee Vincent girls and play in the 2pm game against Chaska.

Wisconsin has the early upper hand, winning three of five games in each of the first two years.

The 2009-10 Border Battle is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2010 at Eau Claire, Wisconsin. For more on the series, please click here.
