The Breakdown's Great Northwoods League

Running on eight weekends from mid-December through early March, fifth through eighth grade cagers get a big league experience.

The league was formed at the request of many programs from Central and Northern Minnesota. This league will creat more opportunities for players and programs to save money, raise money, provide great competition, and participate in a formal,organized league ran by the largest basketball event coordinator in The Breakdown.

* Play 3 games each weekend for $100
* Save miles with less travel
* Teams may host a weekend to fundraise
* All results, schedules posted on a Breakdown's Website
* Awards given for league and tourney winners
* Sanctioned officials
* Teams receive discounts and promotions from The Breakdown and Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx

Football and volleyball previews are available June 1. Basketball is scheduled to be released by Nov. 7 and hockey will follow soon thereafter on Dec. 1.
