The Breakdown Fall Leagues have become Minnesota's #1 league for basketball players and preparing for the upcoming season. The Breakdown Leagues will again be held in Becker and Lakeville South. Teams from all corners of the state participate in our leagues and many NEW teams have already committed to join the league this year.
The Breakdown appreciated all the feedback from last year and are making some minor improvements to an already great league. We will be adding about 5 more minutes between games so teams can get to their respective courts. We also have improved our scheduling and will assure all teams a very organized format of games.
The Breakdown Fall League is the best because:
- Each team plays two games back to back
- Low admission fees
- All games at one site for the duration of the WHOLE league.
- Team Rate, no individual rate.
- Multiple Team Rate discounts
- Varsity, JV and 9th grade divisions
- Sanctioned Officials
- Team divisions set to provide the best matchups and competition level
- EACH player recieves a Breakdown T-Shirt
- A later start so players can participate in Fall Sports with less disruptions
- All players will receive a discount on the Breakdown Basketball Preview Book for the 2008-2009 season
- Full service website for all communication and league schedule
- Pictures and results posted on Breakdown's website

Q: Is the league only for varsity level teams?
A: The league is not only for varsity level teams. We have three divisions that I put the teams in and I rely on the coaches input on putting them in which division. The idea is giving each team a good experience and playing the competition suitable to them. We do have 8th or 9th grade division and we are always looking for more teams. I believe last year we had 6 to 8 younger teams for both the girls and the boys league.
Q: Is there a tournament at the end and is their league standings?
A: No to both!! We do update on the website on who won each particular game, but there is no overall champion. The idea is that each team gets themselves ready for the season against good competition in game like situations.
Q: Why is the Breakdown Fall League better than others?
A: The league starts later than others and it leads right up to the upcoming season. All games are back-to-back so each team is in and out in two hours. Game times will change each weekend and nobody is stuck at the same time. Lastly, the competition is very good and The Breakdown is their every weekend to make sure things run smoothly.
Q: Will there be a trainer?
A: Yes, their will be someone their to look at and possible help any injuries that do occur. If an athlete needs to be taped for any reason, then that person needs to bring the tape, pre-wrap, ect…
Q: What happens if we have to combine with another school to form a team?
A: Say their was 4 kids from a certain school. I will always keep them together. Then I would ask to see if there is any players from a school close to them to at least get 7 players on a team. This works out well because then everyone can help out with rides and they generally know them. If they can’t find anyone else, then I will try to combine for them. If I can’t find a group, then they won’t be in the league. Signing up without a full team is not guartenteed.
Q: Does the league still run over MEA?
A: Yes we do. MEA doesn't cause to many scheduling problems so we will play during those weekends.
Q: Does the Fieldhouse in Becker and Lakeville South have a phone?
A: No
Q: How and when are schedules distributed?
A: The Breakdown will send out the schedules a week prior to competition and also post on the website. This is another plus about our leagues is communication on schedules and any possible changes are taken care of immediatley.
