7AA semis: Top-seeded East gets by Moberg and Rangers in overtime

The Breakdown was at the Section 7AA semifinals at the DECC this past Saturday, Feb. 28. Fifth-seeded Forest Lake and goalie Paul Moberg were upset-minded, but the Greyhounds escaped with a 3-2 overtime victory to move on to the finals against No. 2 Elk River this Thursday, Mar. 5. Moberg made 54 saves as the Rangers were outshot 57-22 in the game. East did not lead in the game until the game-winning goal from Jayce Paulseth, 4:41 into overtime. The Greyhounds' Max Tardy, a Mr. Hockey finalist who had two assists in the game, talked with the Breakdown about the play of Moberg and what his team needed to do to beat him.
